I co-founded and led one of Slovakia’s most influential non-governmental think tanks focused on public sector governance. Programme Area Director (2000–2002), Executive Director (2002–2006), Senior Researcher (to 2010). I am no longer involved in day-to-day operations, but remain a formal member.
I managed and helped shape a number of public policy projects in programme evaluation, education policy (including Roma inclusion), public administration reform and information society. Clients included the World Bank, OECD and the European Commission.
In parallel (2004–2011) I lectured at the Institute of Public Policy, Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences, Comenius University, where I co-founded a master’s programme in public policy and taught Economic Aspects of Public Policy and Policy Evaluation.
Before SGI, I was a Reuters correspondent (1998–2000), handling reporting and analysis focused on economic, financial and political news, with extensive experience reporting on economic indicators. Before that, I headed publicity at the Association for Fair Elections, Civic Eye ‘98, a civic volunteer election monitoring project with over 1,700 participants.
